Position Summary
The Administrative Coordinator will report to the Assistant Director of Student Disability Services or their designee. The position oversees administrative support and logistics to all members of the SDS staff in executing their duties and responsibilities. They are the initial point of contact for all SDS inquiries and support. They support the Accommodation Specialist workflow and the Testing Coordinator workflow.

This is an in-person, non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
Essential Functions
- Provides prompt, thoughtful, and detailed customer service by answering phone calls, assisting drop-in clientele, answering general questions, and forwarding such questions to the appropriate person/department
- Oversees clerical and administrative functions, including organizing and maintaining files, providing office hours, recording meetings, scheduling appointments, and booking reservations as needed for SDS-related functions
- Build, maintain, and provide reports from Accommodate, the electronic database
- Support the testing center, including assisting faculty and the testing center responsibilities
- Handles large volumes of detailed and confidential information with accuracy and timeliness
- Accurately explains University and SDS policies and procedures to students, student support persons, and prospective students.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 and the One Drive
- Strong organizational skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to listen to concerned parents and students
- Must be able to hear, speak, and write effectively in English
- Ability to effectively support students and families on accommodations process and website usage
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Professional demeanor and ability to maintain confidentiality
- Ability to de-escalate others and maintain emotional regulation
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in business administration or communications or a combination of equivalent experience/education in a related field.
- Experience in college admissions, marketing management, office management, student affairs, or related field.
- Has a strong commitment to Inclusive Excellence
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or associate’s degree in business management or communications or a combination of equivalent experience/education in a related field
- 1-2 years of experience working with individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of Accommodate
- Knowledge of Student Database Systems
- Supervision experience
- Familiarity with disability law and experience with individuals with disabilities.
- Work Experience in Higher Education or education
Work Schedule
Part-Time, work schedule to be determined with the supervisor. This is a fully in-person position.
