Job Summary: As a Production Team Leader, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and coordinating various aspects of our production operations, primarily focusing on customer communications, claim documentation, program compliance, vehicle inspections, and project management. This role requires a strong ability to manage multiple tasks, lead a team, and ensure the successful execution of projects. Production Team Leader is a working role, you will also be performing demolition work, specialty cleaning, placing and managing specialty equipment and directing on-site technicians and employees.
Key Responsibilities:
In addition to demolition, specialty cleaning, equipment management and directing site labor, you will be performing most of the following activities.
1. Customer Communications:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with customers regarding project status, timelines, and any issues that may arise.
- Address customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback promptly and professionally.
2. Claim Documentation:
- Collect and maintain accurate documentation related to insurance claims and project expenses.
- Ensure all necessary paperwork is properly filed and up to date.
3. Program Compliance:
- Ensure adherence to all relevant industry and company regulations and standards.
- Keep up to date with industry changes and incorporate them into the production process as needed.
4. Vehicle Inspections:
- Oversee vehicle inspections to ensure they are safe and in optimal working condition.
- Schedule and coordinate maintenance and repairs when necessary.
5. Load and Prepare Production Vehicle:
- Supervise the loading and preparation of production vehicles with equipment, materials, and tools.
- Ensure that all necessary items are on hand for each project.
6. Organize and Order Subcontractors:
- Coordinate subcontractor activities and schedules for various projects.
- Place orders for subcontracted services and materials as required.
7. Project Management:
- Lead and manage the production team to ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and provide guidance to team members.
8. Create Estimates for Self-Paid Jobs:
- Prepare accurate estimates for self-paid projects, considering labor, materials, and other related costs.
- Present estimates to customers for approval.
9. Discuss Coverage and Scope with Adjusters:
- Collaborate with insurance adjusters to clarify project scope and coverage.
- Address any discrepancies or issues to ensure accurate claims processing.
10. Equipment Rental for Specialty Projects:
- Arrange for the rental of specialized equipment required for specific projects.
- Ensure the safe and proper use of rented equipment.
11. Update Job Files:
- Maintain organized and up-to-date job files, including project plans, permits, and other relevant documents.
- Archive completed project files in accordance with company policies.
12. After-Hours Rotation:
- Participate in after-hours on-call rotation for emergency response and support.
- Be available to address urgent issues or incidents as they arise.
13. Photograph and Document Damaged Areas:
- Document damaged areas and the progress of repairs through photographs and written reports.
- Use this documentation for project records and insurance claims.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a leadership role within the production or construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of insurance claims processes and documentation (prior experience is an advantage but not mandatory).
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
