PayPal, Inc. seeks Software Engineer 3 in San Jose, CA

Job Duties: Learn the risk/compliance management business domain which combines data, data analytics, machine learning and high-performance technology platform to fight fraud and other online crime such as stolen identity in real time. Work with product leaders using agile methodologies to deliver high quality solutions on time. Work with operations teams to ensure applications and services are highly available and reliable. Marry business needs with technology solves and question existing architecture to provide efficient alternate solutions. Work in team environment with x-functional teams for doing integrations. Follow good practices for writing clean code with goal of producing high quality software. Telecommuting permitted – work can be performed from anywhere in the U.S.

 Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline plus two years of experience in the job offered or two years of experience in the field of software engineering or computer programming. Will also accept a bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Engineering or closely related quantitative discipline plus five years of experience in the job offered or five years of progressively responsible experience in the field of software engineering or computer programming.

Additional Job Description:

 Base salary: $158,722-204,600 per annum. 40 hours per week; M-F, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
