About the role
This is a remote position.
Job Highlights:- Contract type: Independent Contractor
- Schedule: 40 hours per week or 8 hours per day
- Monday - Friday
- 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM UK time (2:00 PM - 11:00 PM Manila Time)
- With 1 hour unpaid break in between
The company is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Supply Chain Co-Ordinator to oversee and optimize our supply chain processes. A key focus of this role is managing import and export operations, including preparing accurate documentation to ensure seamless deliveries through customs. This position requires expertise in logistics, inventory management, and compliance with international trade regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, monitor, and coordinate the entire supply chain process to maximize efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage import/export activities, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and trade policies.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, and customs declarations.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and shipping agents to ensure timely and smooth deliveries.
- Maintain and optimize inventory levels, anticipating and addressing potential shortages or overstocking.
- Develop strong relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiating favorable terms and delivery schedules.
- Analyze supply chain data and generate reports for process improvement and strategic planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production, sales, and procurement, to align supply chain activities with company objectives.
- Identify and resolve any logistical issues or bottlenecks promptly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in supply chain coordination, with specific expertise in import/export operations.
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations, customs procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle complex documentation accurately.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the coatings or manufacturing industry is a plus.
- Familiarity with UK and EU trade regulations.
- Strong analytical skills for data-driven decision-making.
