Bartender, VIP Lounge (Fri/Sat Part-time)

 Works Fri/Sat evening 3:30pm-10:30pm in our VIP lounge, $10hr plus tips. Bartenders in the VIP Lounge serve guests sitting at tables along with guests at the bar.

Provides wine, liquor, and related bar service to guests at assigned stations.  Adheres to the guest service requirement listed above.

 

Job Description:

The bartender provides wine, liquor and related bar service to guests both public and internal. To ensure excellent bar service to guests and servers.  Mix drinks according to prescribed recipes; keeps station stocked with all liquor, glasses and accessories necessary; accounts for all beginning cash register bank, all cash, complimentary drink coupons and charge receipts.   Maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Education Preferred:          

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.  Flexibility in fingers and hands to operate cash register, pickup glasses, ice scoop and use a shot glass to measure liquor according to procedure. Mathematical abilities, including addition and subtraction.  Ability to work with hands in ice for 8 to 10 hour Shifts.  Ability to stand and walk for 8 to 10 hours shifts.  Ability to work in constricting areas.  Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.  Previous bartending experience.

 

Physical Requirements:

1. Must be physically mobile.
2. Must be able to lift or carry up to 75 lbs. 
3. Must be able to reach above and below shoulder, grip small items (i.e. pens, money, garnishes), bend, stoop and twist while preparing cocktails, stand and walk for up to four hours.
4. Must be able to work in constricted areas.
5. Must be able to pass uranalysis drug test

Licensing and Certification Required:

Employees may be required to obtain a Missouri Gaming Commission license.  The initial license is paid for by the employee through payroll deduction.  All subsequent renewals for the license are paid by Harrah’s North Kansas City.  Employees will be required to attend Serve Safe and CARE classes and certify.
