Summary:
The Electrical Maintenance Manager coordinates electrical activities related to the implementation of new processes and the revision of existing processes. This position provides electrical engineering assistance throughout the plant. They will also refer to manager for guidance on unusal problems.
What you’ll be contributing:

Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.

Coordinates the allocation of all electrical and automation engineering resources with all plant departments.

Responsible for all plant electrical maintenance programs to ensure optimum machinery performance & minimum downtime.
- Identifies plant electrical needs, makes capital proposals, and is held accountable for areas of responsibility.
- Prepares and manages electrical maintenance budget and provides management group with monthly updates.
- Schedules assigns, and communicates electrical maintenance and repair jobs while minimizing equipment downtime.
- Remains current on new technologies, regulations, and work procedures and makes recommendations where appropriate. Development of a long-term electrical plan aimed at establishing preventative & predictive measures to optimize equipment.
- Responsible for installation of new equipment and oversees alteration to all plant buildings and structures.
- Conducts and/or participates in plant meetings regarding operations activities, safety, environmental issues, and special projects.
- Participate in corporate-derived programs to establish companywide standards for electrical and automation policies. Champion these policies for the plant.
- Provides leadership for direct reports in defining expectations, giving feedback, and redirecting when needed. Mentors and develops team for personal growth and succession planning.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
To succeed in this position, you will need:

Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.

Minimum 4-year degree in engineering, electrical, or related subject matter

Minimum 7 years experience in heavy industry with specific office and field experience in engineering design (to include programmable logic control equipment usage) and construction.

Extensive knowledge of engineering theories, principles, and techniques, especially those regarding electrical engineering.

Ability to use and troubleshoot engineering equipment such as measuring devices, calculators, computers, and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC).

Working knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations about environmental and safety issues.

Working knowledge of contract management practices and cement and lime manufacturing processes is a plus.
