Job Summary

Functions in our group include safety, project field management, construction management, quality control, start up and decommissioning and field engineering.
Create, implement and maintain field quality control procedures for respective assigned duties. Develop site quality plans, manpower estimates, and budget estimates during the proposal stage of a project; integrate inspection activities into project schedules, develop the project execution quality plans, develop staffing plans and assign personnel to projects, and prepare Construction Inspection and Test Plans, and monitor project metrics and staffing needs, and provide code and technical support. Responsible for development and implementation of field quality training programs, as may be appropriate. Management of firm-specific Site QC Managers (e.g.: BVI, BVCI, OCI) and on BVCOR project sites. Interfaces with BV Operations Managers, regional office professionals and project teams within assigned geographical areas/lines of business.
Key Responsibilities
- Manages assigned field quality division office and project quality performance activities .
- Develops and implements quality programs to meet or exceed company and division quality goals, expectations and strategic plans .
- Develops division and project specific quality programs and processes .
- Develops and conducts quality training programs .
- Conducts division quality performance evaluations, site quality inspections and audits .
- Interfaces with clients, government officials, key division and corporate management .
- Acts as Quality Consultant for internal and external clients .
- Acts as temporary project fill in for lower level quality professionals .
- Provides supervision, training, development, and performance management of direct reports
- Serves as a mentor to other quality professionals .
- Adheres to Safety, Quality, Ethical Standards, Lessons Learned, and Performance Management programs in accordance with Division Policies, Standards, Guides, and Contractual commitments
Management Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Engineering, Construction Management or other relevant college degree preferred
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ year's quality inspection experience, including managerial experience, with a degree, or; 15+ years without a degree.
- All applicants must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding requirements (if selected) which may include any/all of the following: criminal/civil background check, drug screen, and motor vehicle records search, in compliance with any applicable laws and regulations.
Certifications
Certification in discipline (e.g.: American Welding Society (AWS), Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), Institute for Supply Management (ISM)) or relevant equivalent is desired.Work Environment/Physical Demands
