Job Summary:
Provides patients with evaluations, assessments, prognoses, treatments and education through a continuum of care, with an emphasis on hand therapy.
Job Requirements:
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in occupational or physical therapy or equivalent (some certifications will require Bachelor’s): Required
- Master's Degree: Preferred
- Two years' occupational therapy experience: Preferred
Licenses/Certifications:
- Occupational Therapy licensure in state of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification: Required
- American Society of Hand Therapists certification: Required
- Occupational Therapist (OT): Required
- Hand Therapy Certification Commission (HTCC): Required
Essential Functions:
- Performs and documents consultations, evaluations and assessments. Identifies problem areas and abnormal findings. Implements appropriate advanced clinical tests.
- Performs patient care, plans treatment programs, evaluates intervention responses and modifies treatment plans appropriately. Implements appropriate advanced treatment techniques.
- Completes comprehensive and accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
- Provides education and training to patients and caregivers, while incorporating learning style preferences.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
