Job Description

The Director of UX & Research will work with multiple internal departments to not only develop and drive strategy forward, but will be self-sufficient in creating and producing deliverables and outputs.

• Define UX strategy, UX targets, manages the organizational implementation and development of UX operations in a high-growth SaaS environment.
• Drive product and design decisions through actionable insights and bold recommendations.
• Own product spaces to solve complex problems and connect the dots across various functions and business units to provide end-to-end experiences for our customers.
• Purposefully prioritize programs that are most impactful and facilitate informed decisions that influence overall product strategies.
• Strategize the design and execution of generative, formative, and summative research to influence product development and design direction.
• Coach, guide, mentor, educate, and inspire Researchers so that they can realize their highest potential and produce world-class results.
• Direct creation of scenarios, wireframes, prototypes, workflows, interaction and experience models, and functional specifications, and ensure deliverables are client-ready.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of expertise in UX design, including a track record of impactful work experience
• Demonstrated experience working closely and productively with Product Management and Software Engineering
• UX executed within an Agile development environment
• Experience leading and managing teams of UX professionals
• Extremely customer centric leader who designs simple and elegant solutions 
• Strong knowledge of user-centered design principles, methodologies, best practices and approaches, particularly as applied to web and mobile-based properties and applications
• Excellent communication, organization and team interaction skills
• Ability to function as a thought leader as well as an individual contributor
• Commitment to constantly improving one’s skills, staying current with developments and trends in the industry, and sharing this knowledge with others
• Knowledge of web technologies and associated accessibility standards (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
• Understanding of analytics and the ability to communicate how they affect design decisions
