Manage the integration of Form’s battery system with energy management and data historian systems, including testing and validation
Specify and execute test plans for battery energy storage plant functions and performance
Specify, source, and validate control systems, PLCs, and SCADA systems, and implement advanced control logic for prototype systems and pilot projects
Interface with the Software and Project Engineering teams to define requirements and implement solutions for system data collection, commissioning, monitoring, and alerting
Analyze data from operating systems to support system model validation
Up to 20% domestic travel to vendor facilities and project sites
What you'll bring:
7+ years experience with industrial control system applications, including direct experience with utility-scale solar or energy storage systems
Cross-functional technical capabilities across multiple engineering domains including electrical power, controls systems, and data processing; familiarity with thermal and fluid dynamics is a plus
Field experience with the engineering, programming, commissioning, and testing of control systems; familiarity with EMS, PLC, HMI, and SCADA equipment
Experience with data management, analysis, modeling, and visualization software such as Python and MATLAB; experience with SQL is a plus
Demonstrated experience leading root cause analysis for electrical systems such as inverters, power distribution components, and plant controllers
