PRS Custom Solutions Portfolio Management Specialist

Chubb Custom Solutions is seeking an E&S Portfolio Management Specialist to join our team. As an E&S Portfolio Management Specialist, you will support the E&S business strategy by measuring pricing, rate development, capacity utilization and optimization, CAT management and support in the development of products. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical abilities coupled with knowledge of Personal Insurance products and knowledge of the E&S marketplace with a general understanding of the insurance industry and market trends. Additionally, the successful candidate will be driven and motivated by the opportunity to identify and assess a wide range of impactful risks to our E&S strategy. They will be responsible for detailed analysis and tactical project execution while navigating competing priorities.
*Salary grade will be flexible based on the successful candidate’s experience.
- Support the Custom Solutions Leader in developing strategies to manage:
- TIV aggregation areas
- PML Management
- Pricing adequacy
- Marketplace competitive analysis for both pricing and terms and conditions
- Collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders (not limited to PRS Senior Leadership, Underwriting, Audit, Product Management, Operations, Risk Consulting, Sales, General Counsel) to refine underwriting strategies, and support processes, pricing, workflows, and communications that align with profit, expense, and growth targets for E&S
- Coordinate and implement assigned projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality project deliverables
- Track project implementation needs, issues, and solutions for assigned projects
- Work seamlessly across departments and influence and guide those outside of direct reporting structure
- Ensure a continuous feedback loop with key stakeholder groups to support their understanding of core strategies and make required adjustments following the implementation of a project
- Independently manage low to moderate complexity projects; understand business objectives as they relate to project goals
Competencies/Skills:
- Deep understanding of underwriting strategies, workflows and product offerings
- Ability to navigate between forms, product, CAT modeling, pricing and underwriting
- Strong project and time management skills. With ability to work autonomously and to manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong Excel skills and working knowledge of VBA
- Ability to understand and work between Actuary, CAT Modeling, Product and Underwriting
- Able to provide clear and concise verbal and written communications to non-actuarial business leader
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to work independently and effectively overcome challenges
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree within an analytic field with superior academic performance
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in the P&C industry, preferably in an analytical role
- Experience with high valued products and E&S a plus
