Technical Writer

Responsibilities

Peraton is seeking an experienced Technical Writer to join our team of qualified, and diverse individuals.

 

Day to Day Work Responsibilities:

 

This is an application modernization project where we are working with a partner who will be converting the source code of a legacy application from Natural, Cobol, and VB.Net to C#. There will be a small percentage of the source code that will not be addressed as part of our partners automated conversion. This project will be run using agile methods and DevOps tools. The Technical Writer will participate in daily stand-up meetings and focusing on:

• Create operational manuals based upon the input from developers and the business analyst
• Review deliverables created by other team members for completeness and correctness

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

• High School Diploma and 5-6 years of experience
• Experience as a Technical Writer
• Proficiency in using documentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Adobe FrameMaker, or other relevant tools.
• Some knowledge of cloud environments
• Ability to work within deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong writing skills with a focus on clarity, conciseness, and technical accuracy.
• US Citizen or Green Card

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge of DevOps Tools

Target Salary Range

$66,000 - $106,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
