The Opportunity:

If you have experience managing eDiscovery projects across the Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) and are looking to grow and manage multiple high visibility projects for the Department of Justice (DOJ) then this position is for you! This position manages several projects varying in size and complexity that can go through all or some of the phases of the EDRM spectrum, from investigation, intake/acquisition of documents and data (discovery), through trial support.  In this position, you will also work closely with US Attorneys, DOJ Case Managers and Contracting Officer Representatives (CORs), Case Managers, and technical teams to discuss project requirements, schedules, budgets, and all litigation support activities for each project. Responsibilities:
This is a senior-level Project Manager with responsibilities for coordinating the efforts of several Project Managers, either on one mammoth project or for multiple large projects. Additional responsibilities include:

  • You will also have a team of Project Managers and Project Supervisors to assist with the supervision of employees assigned to various cases where you will be responsible.
  • The person in this position reports directly to a Deputy or Division Contract Director and is leaned on for project execution, but also provides input to the strategy of the organization.
  •  The Lead Project Manager directs and coordinates all Document Center resources, including subordinate Project Manager staff and other staff resources.
  •  In Document Centers that support more than one case, the Lead Project Manager must carry their caseload, in addition to performing lead/coordinating duties.
  •  In addition to Project Manager responsibilities, the Lead Project Manager consults with the DOJ COR and Case Managers concerning overall Document Center operations, scheduling, work assignments, staffing, progress reporting, security, etc.
  • The Lead Project Manager is responsible for overall quality assurance and timeliness of delivery for all work performed out of the Document Center.
  • The Lead Project Manager also performs overall coordinating functions with other Contractor components.


Qualifications:
Required: 

  • At least six years of progressively more responsible experience in major E-Discovery/litigation support projects, including at least one year of Project Manager experience or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated experience working in eDiscovery document review platforms such as Relativity, Clearwell, iCONECT, Casepoint, Everlaw, etc.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage numerous complex and time-critical litigation support activities simultaneously, including technical/data processing support activities and cases involving e-discovery.
  • Demonstrated ability to interact with attorneys on complex support activities.
  • Requires expert knowledge of litigation support; outstanding writing skills; outstanding oral communication skills; outstanding management skills.
  • Strong technical background as demonstrated through user-level knowledge of eDiscovery tools and data management.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of the Government’s and Contractor’s IT environment in which the work is to be performed, as well as Contractor’s “standard solutions” for eDiscovery, e.g., Clearwell, Relativity, etc.
  • Must be able to anticipate litigation support needs and develop and execute detailed plans for addressing needs.
  • Requires knowledge of the Government's data processing environment where the work is performed, including PC-based and virtual environments.
  • Should know the Government’s office and network environment, including but not limited to word processing, spreadsheet, imaging, and hardware systems.
  • Undergraduate degree required. Law degree, advanced technical certification, or other pertinent graduate degree valued.
  •  Substantial significant experience may, in some cases, be substituted for the degree requirement.


Desired:

  • Certification(s) in Relativity, ACEDS, and other eDiscovery-related technical certifications.
  • Trial support experience.
  • Professional, can-do attitude.
