Job Description:
Duties/Responsibilities
Prepare and teach multisensory structured remedial written language therapy designed specifically for the school aged dyslexic learner
Develop and enhance new curricula
Train Texas public school teachers as Dyslexia therapists
Teach class(es) of school-aged and adolescent dyslexic learners in the Center for Dyslexia Lab
Collaborate and participate in the development and refinement of curricula
Complete appropriate student reports
Demonstrate expertise in teaching methods conducive to therapist training
Pursue continual professional growth
Demonstrate effective communication skills with students and adults
Required Skills/Abilities
Bachelor’s degree in education or related field - required
Certification as an Academic Language Therapist - required
Strong communication skills (including written, telephone, in person, e-mail) - required
Master’s degree – required
Minimum 2 years of experience teaching an Orton-Gillingham based multisensory, remedial program to school aged students – preferred

Lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs.
