The compensation for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 (exempt).
Pūlama Lāna‘i is adopting modern technologies where it makes sense for our various operations and asset management functions. We are developing a role that uses both Drone technology and GIS technology to be used to support a variety of our operations. Under the direct supervision of the Drone and GIS Manager, the Drone Operator/GIS Analyst will carry out functions and duties that utilize drone capabilities such as photography or videography, mapping, cleaning and other yet-to-be-identified tasks. In this role, it is the drone operator's responsibility to follow all laws governing drone operation as well as comply with rules set forth by Pūlama Lāna‘i. As the GIS Analyst, this position will carry out duties and assignments to capture data and input data into the designated ARC-GIS system. In both roles, it is a requirement to maintain strict confidentiality with information obtained or handled while completing any assigned job duties.

Essential Duties
- Coordinate all GIS activities and requests for GIS information with GIS Operations Manager and work with GIS consultant to address needs of company for online resources.
- Maintain comprehensive GIS data including developing and editing GIS datasets, collecting and verifying filed data, importing GIS data from various sources, troubleshooting data errors and interpreting GIS data to resolve questions.
- Collects technical and field data through Global Position System (GPS) and or visual inspection.
- Provides GIS technical support to users.
- Operates and maintains GIS equipment
- Prepare scale maps and contract documents, as necessary. This will include multiple platforms to produce work.
- Work with operation manager on completion of work in a timely manner.
- Work with the Sculptures department and provide support for drone washing operations.
- Assist operations manager with various drone mapping tasks. This will include fieldwork as well as office work to complete projects.
- Utilize knowledge of all phases of residential, commercial building, and site construction. This job includes site visits to construction areas. During on-site visits must use appropriate personal protection equipment and know how to access sites within parameters set by Pūlama Lāna‘i and Contractors.
- Work with all departments using GIS on developing more robust online databases.
- Manages and organizes all online data related to GIS or project documentation.
- Complete projects in a timely manner and to a high degree of quality.
- Assumes other duties as assigned.
- Work experience at work using ESRI ArcPro application, preferred.
- Experience with operating drones for work preferred.
- Prefer candidate with FAA part 107 Drone License.
- Requires ability to develop and process information for the department and keep such information confidential at all times and in all situations.
- Must be proficient in Outlook, Word, Excel, Photoshop, Adobe Lightroom, and ArcGIS Online.
- Requires excellent written and verbal communication and organizational skills.
- Requires relating to people in a friendly and professional manner.
- Requires working to the established procedures and maintaining reliable work attendance.
- Able to think and make effective decisions quickly.
- Ability to create effective working relationships with people.
- Must be able to maintain a positive attitude and work under pressure.
- Must be able to keep all information confidential and within work time. Some projects are sensitive in nature and should be treated as such.
- Experience with DIiital SLR cameras and how to photograph and process in Lightroom and Photoshop photos of sites and buildings.
- Valid Hawai‘i Driver’s License and successful review of Motor Vehicle Record. The position may require the ability to drive
