Job Summary
Responsible for providing support services for The Aerospace Corporation by driving commercial motor vehicles. Use of vehicles to support transportation of various items locally and to offsite locations. Loads, unloads, and delivers materials. Tracks, logs, verifies and records information on package delivery.
Work Model
This position will be located 100% onsite in El Segundo CA.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Relocates various property, office furniture, and specialized laboratory equipment.
- Moves, lifts, heavy equipment throughout the Corporation.
- Packs and secures various items and ensures safe and timely delivery.
- Product coordination and movements from warehouse to point of delivery; operates computerized scanning system to track products from warehouse to customer.
- May provide driving services to executives and Board of Trustees.
- Completes daily driver’s logbooks and daily vehicle inspection reports.
- Operates a forklift, heavy mechanical equipment, and vehicles to transport non-placarded hazardous materials.
What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Must possess a valid California Class C Driver’s license.
- Safety training and hazardous materials inducements
- Must possess and maintain an acceptable and clean driving record.
- Knowledge of rigging to properly calculate rigging loads up to 10,000 pounds when moving large heavy objects as well as the use of specialized equipment such as roller lifts and optics table jacks.
- Effective interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with internal and external organizations.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Ability to work under minimal supervision, to self-initiate activities, and to work within timelines.

Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.
