Driver, CDL A

Lakeshore Beverage, Illinois' largest distributor of beer and other fine beverages, is seeking a skilled delivery representatives with great customer service skills and knowledge of the Chicagoland market. This is a union position with a growing company, and all routes are local. Work hours may vary, based on the needs of the route each day, but you're home every night!

Typical Duties include:

• Drive commercial delivery trucks, van and/or tractor-trailer combinations to deliver products
• Build strong partnerships with retailers by building displays, filling coolers and merchandising retail accounts with permanent and temporary point of sale items
• Maintain product freshness through proper rotation
• Complete and turn in all company paperwork, invoices, display forms, load sheets, and cash/checks within appropriate timeframes

• Must meet state age requirements
• Valid Class A CDL with up-to-date medical certification in compliance with DOT regulations
• Safe driving record
• High school diploma or GED certificate
• Previous consumer product delivery experience preferred
• Comfort level with computer based mobility units
• Professional manner and appearance
• Customer service and team orientation
• Ability to lift, load, unload and move products weighing up to 165lbs
• Ability to safely operate job related equipment (i.e. hand truck, pallet jacks)
• Ability to handle and manage cash
