Driver Assistant

Description

Texas Wood Supply is a Manufacturing Hardwood Moulding Company that operates 7 retail stores and 3 production sites throughout Texas. We are looking for a Driver Assistant with a positive attitude and sense of urgency. The ideal candidate will also have excellent customer service skills and be able to work in a team environment. 

Accountabilities

• Assist company drivers with the deliveries.
• Load and unload delivery trucks.
• Contact customers to confirm delivery details.
• Conduct routine vehicle maintenance inspections. 
• Verify delivery confirmation.
• May be required to drive a company vehicle as needed.
• Perform general warehouse tasks including receiving, organizing, and storing inventory.
• Assist in the assembly and production of door components as part of the manufacturing process.
• Operate tools and machinery safely and efficiently.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or GED
• Class C Driver's License is required
• Must be at least 21 years of age 

Physical Demands:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs independently.
• Ability to lift over 50 lbs with assistance.
• Prolonged sitting or standing for extended periods.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Basic computer and math skills required.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
• Operate GPS Device
