DRiV- Product Engineering Intern - Summer 2024

Product engineering summer interns will assist in the development of automotive steering & suspension products.  Under the direction of a product engineer, interns will collect input on original equipment parts for the purpose of reverse engineering.  This may include the collection of dimensional and metallurgical data and creation of CAD drawings.  Other duties may include engineering database management, processing engineering changes and project management.  This position is located in Maryland Heights, Missouri and intended for Summer 2024. (No relocation available).

 

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Must currently be studying to achieve a Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with at least a sophomore standing.  Must have ability to interpret technical drawings and proficiency with Microsoft Excel.  2D drafting proficiency preferred. 

 

PREFERRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: Preferred experience includes proficiency in the use of Siemens NX 2D & 3D CAD.  Participation in student design competitions i.e. FSAE, Solar Car, Baja SAE, HPV or Rover Design.  Knowledge of automotive systems and service procedures gained from personal or professional experiences.
