Document Controller

A growing Building Services contractor in Cannock is looking for a Document Controller to join their team. Due to an increase in workload, they need an organised, detail-focused Document Control Administrator or Project Administrator to take ownership of project documentation across Schools, University and Healthcare projects.

The role

* Manage the document control process across multiple live projects, from pre-contract through to completion and handover

* Issue, log and track drawings, RFIs, submittals, variations, instructions and correspondence

* Maintain document registers, making sure the latest revisions are in use on site and in the office

* Support the project team with O&M manuals, as-built information and handover documentation

* Liaise with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Sub Contractors to keep records accurate and up to date

* Support with meeting minutes, programme updates and general project administration

* Assist with quality, H&S and compliance documentation, including audits

* Maintain a well-organised filing system for both electronic and hard copy records

About you

* Previous experience as a Document Controller, Document Control Officer, Document Control Administrator, Project Administrator or Project Coordinator in M&E, building services or construction

* Experience with document management systems and drawing registers

* Strong IT skills, particularly Microsoft Office and Excel

* Excellent attention to detail and organisation

* Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines at once

* Knowledge of O&M manual compilation is desirable but not essential

What’s on offer

* £28,000 - £34,000 depending on experience

* Permanent position,

* Monday to Friday, (7:30am–4:30pm)

* Onsite parking

* Holiday Entitlement: 24 days

* Pension: 8% total contribution – 5% employee and 3% employer
