About the role

Key Responsibilities:

· Lead month-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate preparation of journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.

· Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP, ensuring accuracy and completeness.

· Perform detailed balance sheet reconciliations, investigating and resolving discrepancies.

· Support annual audits by preparing required documentation and providing assistance to external auditors.

· Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.

· Assist in the development and enhancement of accounting policies and procedures, driving continuous improvement in financial processes.

· Provide mentorship and guidance to junior accounting staff, fostering professional growth and development.

· Utilize ERP systems and financial reporting tools to streamline processes and improve the accuracy of financial data.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required.

· CPA license or demonstrated commitment to obtaining CPA licensure (active path preferred).

· Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in public accounting (Big 4 preferred).

· Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and internal control principles.

· Strong ability to build relationships and collaborate with stakeholders to understand and meet their financial needs.

·Proactive in learning about the business and its operations to provide meaningful financial insights.

·Proven ability to analyze financial data, resolve discrepancies, and communicate insights effectively.

· Proficiency in ERP systems (such as Oracle, SAP, or NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.

·  Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Comfortable adapting to evolving business needs and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment.
