Job Purpose

The Midwest Aftermarket District Sales Manager will engage with customers to grow, develop, and cultivate relationships and to effectively articulate the customers’ current and future needs. This person will support sales of existing core products and identify new product and technical programs to catalyze profitable growth for Dana at OES and WD customer locations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Grow, develop, and maintain strategic relationships with local fleets, dealers, and aftermarket customers
  • Individual contributor role managing multi-state territory cover 200+ dealer and WD locations
  • Promotes products/solutions for both OEM Spec and Service Parts Meet or exceed annual contact and product specification goals focusing on small fleets <500 trucks
  • Provide product, warranty, and applications training in support of sales objectives
  • Develop/maintain technical competency for Dana products
  • Provide direct service and warranty support for local and national fleet customers within assigned district
  • Manage key dealer relationships on an assigned basis working directly with national account manager
  • Maintain current knowledge of competitor activities and changes in market
  • Represent voice-of-the-customer within Dana and responsible for customer metrics.
  • Maintain accurate regional revenue forecasts and sensitivity analysis by providing analytical Optimize increased volumes through new and existing accounts with fleet spec., and aftermarket parts
  • Develop sales strategy and objectives to achieve goals as defined in assigned KPIs
  • Drive results with aftermarket customers (distributors, builders, dealers, other) 
  • Make product presentations to purchasing, engineering, and other customer representatives
  • Respond to customer requests for day to day requirements
  • Provide customer forecast data
  • Partner with internal Dana teams (product, pricing, engineering, marketing, finance, training) to achieve growth objectives
  • Executes on marketing and new product launches provided by leadership.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS 

  • Minimum bachelor’s degree in Sales, Business Administration, Engineering or Related Field preferred
  • Prior sales and industry experience/education is a must.  Internship/field sales experience is a plus
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in Commercial Vehicle and/or Light Vehicle Aftermarket preferred
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time as needed with the ability to work non-traditional business hours
  • Driveshaft and axle product knowledge a plus
