Warby Parker is on the lookout for an experienced multi-store District Leader to play an integral part in laying the foundation for our growing Retail business. District Leaders have a direct impact on defining the retail experience for our customers and employees. Each one is responsible for financial performance, retail experience, and operational duties for all retail locations in their market—and must also ensure the Warby Parker brand is fluently being translated in the store experience with both customers and employees. What you'll do:
- Conduct store visits in district and report regularly to Regional Director, VP of Stores and HQ departments
- Support New Store Opening leader and Retail Talent Acquisition team for all openings in the district.
- Regularly identify opportunities to improve the business (sales, employee engagement, NPS)
- Hold teams accountable for delivering results: sales growth, productivity, talent development, community outreach, new product launches, and training
- Follow and enforce protocols to ensure risk management and safety
- Ensure that each Store Leader have the right knowledge to drive the business and develop their own teams while working according to the company strategy and guidelines
- Manage and execute recruiting, on-boarding, training, developing, and succession planning for store management teams to build retention and reduce turnover
- Oversee and establish plans for future staff development needs
- Lead quarterly performance and development reviews for each of your direct reports; ensure fairness and accuracy of reviews across the District
- Maintain an overview and ensure that all Employee Relations responsibilities are handled appropriately in the district to ensure a positive work environment
- Create an inclusive workplace culture by treating all teams and customers with respect
Who you are:
- Backed by 3+ years in a multi-unit district management role at a complex customer-focused, operationally excellent retailer (plus, you're an established top-performer)
- Able to build, coach, and retain high-performing teams that meets sales, operational, and financial performance goals
- Possesses both quantitative and analytical skills
- A clear, honest, and empathetic communicator who's able to make tough decisions
- An organized, entrepreneurial go-getter—you're unafraid of taking calculated risks to deliver results
- An upbeat collaborator with strong interpersonal skills
- A resourceful problem-solver and out-of-the-box thinker when faced with challenges
- Curious and willing to question how things are done and how they could be done better
- Able to inspire your team by promoting our vision and purpose in a compelling way
- Highly interested in business, technology, and fashion
- Ready to bring fun into your workplace but willing to put in long hours when required
- Passionate about providing nothing-but-remarkable service to both customers and employees
- Willing to travel at least 60% of time
- Not on the Office of Inspector General’s List of Excluded Individuals/Entities (LEIE)
