The Work You Will Do:

 

District Facility Manager District Five Facilities Management Office

 

This position will direct, plan and oversee the operations, maintenance and safety of District 5 facilities and grounds. Responsible for strategic planning, budgeting, preventive maintenance, regulatory compliance, and capital improvement initiatives. Ensures facilities are safe, efficient, accessible, and compliant with OSHA, ADA, and local regulations, while maintaining industry-standard air quality and energy efficiency.

 

Supervises and develops staff; manages contracts, vendors, and fixed capital outlay (FCO) projects; and oversees facility services including security, life safety, mail and reprographics, cafeteria and vending, recycling, energy conservation, and record retention programs. Manages budgets, reporting requirements, and long-term facility assessments to support operational needs and future growth.

Your Specific Responsibilities:

 

Direct, plan and supervise the operations and maintenance of District 5 facilities and grounds. This includes strategic planning, budgeting and contracting as necessary to properly maintain and operate building facilities, Implement preventive maintenance for critical building components such as roofing, plumbing, heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC), elevators, generators, uninterrupted power supply system (UPS) and other mechanical and electrical building components.
