We are seeking a Dishwasher to join our Restaurant team! This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to grow their career with a Michelin-starred culinary team. The Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, flatware, cooking utensils, etc., using machine and manual cleaning methods. This position also ensures the dishwashing area is maintained as a clean, safe, and sanitary environment.

Under the direction of the Executive Chef, the Dishwasher is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation standards for dishes, glassware, flatware, cooking utensils, and kitchen equipment using both machine and manual cleaning methods. This position ensures the dishwashing area remains clean, safe, and sanitary. Special attention and care are required for delicate and unique China. The Dishwasher contributes to smooth kitchen operations and supports other team members as needed during evening service.

Job Description

Dishwashing & Sanitation

• Operates industrial dishwashing equipment safely and correctly, ensuring proper use of cleaning fluids and maintaining dishwasher cleanliness.
• Washes dishes, flatware, pots, pans, and cooking utensils by hand as needed.
• Maintains high standards of cleanliness and sanitation for all kitchenware, with extra care for delicate China.
• Empties and cleans trash receptacles; dispose of waste properly.
• Sweeps, mops, and maintains kitchen floors at the end of each shift.

Kitchen Support

• Assists prep cooks and other kitchen staff during peak service periods.
• Cleans up spills, broken glass, and other hazards promptly.
• Loads and unloads deliveries or supply trucks as needed.
• Sets up for events and assist with additional food preparation tasks as assigned.
• Organizes flatware, China, and kitchen tools and equipment.

Teamwork & Workplace Effectiveness

• Handles multiple tasks simultaneously and independently with minimal supervision.
• Works effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Collaborates and communicate effectively with a diverse kitchen team.
• Maintains a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen experience as a dishwasher preferred

• Willingness to learn and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team

Pay Range: $19.00 - $20.50/hour. Final compensation will be dependent upon skills & experience.
