Job Location: DSM NY - New York, NY 10016Salary Range: $17.00 - $19.00 Hourly

Job Overview 

At Rose Bakery, the role of a dishwasher involves supporting a fast-paced and team-oriented kitchen environment. Responsibilities include washing dishes, cleaning pots, maintaining the cleanliness of shared spaces and kitchen tools, and ensuring that food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met for a well-organized and safe kitchen. This role also supports the coffee bar program in the bakery when time allows.

 

Key Responsibilities. 

• Ensure there are always enough clean dishes, glasses, and utensils, especially during peak hours. 
• Sanitize the kitchen area and remove garbage regularly.
• Partner with other café staff to ensure seamless service and operation. 
• Interest in the food industry and a desire to learn other kitchen/baking skills is a plus! 
• Bussing, clearing tables, and making sure care and attention are paid to every dish that moves through the dish area.
• Supporting the coffee bar program during busy, peak times in the dining room.
• Display good hygiene and uphold all health and safety standards in compliance with local health codes.

Key Requirements 

• Experience with industrial washing machines preferred
• Attention to detail and knowledge of sanitation rules
• Strong communication skills with café team and various members of the store.
• Ability to write and speak English  
• Ability to follow instructions and help with various tasks as needed
• Ability to stand or walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
