Providing essential services to field staff and volunteers. Offering this support frees field staff for direct ministry with kids, optimizes financial contributions, and ensures careful stewardship of the mission's assets (both tangible and intangible).

Essential Responsibilities
- Prepare correspondence, documentation, and other materials
- Maintain and update files and databases
- Answer phone calls and transfer calls to the appropriate party
- Take detailed notes during meetings or type/transcribe and edit memos and notes provided from meetings
- Organize meeting schedules
- Prepare travel arrangements
- Schedule appointments and conferences
- Prepare paper copies, faxes, and other documentation
- Order, purchase, and invoice company office supplies
- Prepare mailings and packages for delivery
- Maintain files containing confidential information
- Other tasks as assigned
Clerical Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
- Highly organized multitasker who works well in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Solid time management skills; able to prioritize
Job Specific Working Conditions:
Mission & Authority
The Young Life Discipleship Summer Intern will work with the DDCP to create and maintain systems for ongoing projects (including Instagram, Words &Ways podcast, Summer Devotional, Bible App, etc.). In the process, this person will learn about project management, content creation, publishing cycle, collaborative ideation, basic publishing cycles, design principles, podcast platform, Time Sites website platform, and more.
Additional Job Duties
Instagram:
Work with DDCP to maintain Google sheet for creating calendar and schedule for posts (using LATER app).
Create visuals in appropriate site (e.g. Canva) to support and illustrate DDCP-written text.
Schedule posts for ’24-’25.
Monitor posts, profile, and linktree on regular basis, making updates as needed.
Word & Ways:
Work with DDCP to create and maintain Google sheet for scheduled posts.
Brainstorm and offer feedback on podcasts.
Input scripture text from NLT into Google sheet.
BibleApp:
Learn how to upload reading plans and submit content as it becomes ready.
Brainstorm and offer feedback on Bible reading plans.
Help Young Life create long-term vision for Bible reading plans and identity what’s most needed in the field.
Publishing:
- Work with DDCP as needed on any current publishing projects, including proof-reading, formatting, communication with printer, delivery, etc.
