What you will achieve

You will serve as the global commercial strategy leader for Velsipity, accountable for defining and delivering the global brand strategy and ensuring strong execution across regions.

Key responsibilities include:

Global Brand Strategy & Leadership

  • Own the end-to-end global brand strategy for Velsipity, from growth through lifecycle management
  • Define positioning, differentiation, and value proposition in a competitive IBD landscape
  • Lead strategic planning, including brand strategy refresh and tactical planning
  • Lead strategy, design and delivery of Velsipity presence at global medical GI congresses and scientific events.
  • Lead the continued evolution of the Pfizer GI narrative both internally and externally

Growth Execution

  • Drive global growth strategies, ensuring excellence in execution across markets
  • Translate clinical data and insights into impactful commercial strategies
  • Lead key global initiatives to accelerate uptake and optimise performance

Cross-functional Alignment

  • Act as the central point of integration across Medical, Clinical, Regulatory, GASP, PGS and Regional teams
  • Partner closely with US and International teams to enable adoption and execution of global priorities

Customer & External Engagement

  • Shape HCP engagement strategy, including medical education and omnichannel approaches
  • Incorporate deep customer and market insights to inform strategy and execution
  • Build strong collaboration with key external stakeholders and thought leaders

Performance & Value Delivery

  • Maintain accountability for global brand performance and key KPIs
  • Drive data-driven decision-making and prioritisation of resources
  • Ensure delivery of sustainable growth and long-term value for patients and Pfizer
  • Ensure robust budget and cost management maintained across complex and parallel projects

AI-Enabled Ways of Working

  • Use AI-enabled tools to support patient journey synthesis, insight generation, landscape monitoring, content development, and workstream efficiency
  • Apply AI-augmented approaches to identify patterns across complex data sources and improve quality, consistency, and speed of strategic outputs
  • Help embed responsible, compliant AI-enabled ways of working into patient strategy, core resource development, and decision-support processes
  • Stay current on emerging tools and practices that can strengthen patient strategy, engagement planning, and commercial execution

Basic qualifications / experience:

  • Applicant must have a bachelor's degree with at least 8 years of experience; OR a master's degree with at least 7 years of experience; OR a PhD with 5+ years of experience
  • Significant pharmaceutical experience with marketing, strategy, and product lifecycle experience
  • Ability to manage complex projects and budgets
  • Proven record of identifying customer needs, extracting key insights, and translating them into meaningful solutions
  • Willingness to challenge the status quo, with strong communication, confidence, and flexibility within a multicultural setting
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across functions and teams, and to lead by influence to effectively develop and implement strategies with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to manage strategic agencies and partners to produce solutions that tangibly impact business performance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide variety of audiences, including senior and executive leadership
  • Strong analytical skills; detail oriented, action driven, and creative
  • AI Fluency: Proficient in leveraging artificial intelligence tools and technologies to drive commercial insights, optimise decision-making, and support innovation. Able to navigate emerging AI trends and integrate them eff
