About the Role
The Director, Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET), will lead the global SDET organization, spearheading test automation and ensuring high software quality. A key focus will be establishing and leading the new SDET operations center in Chennai, India. Travel to Chennai will be required to set up and support this expansion.
Responsibilities
This role involves developing and implementing the SDET strategy, aligned with company goals. Building and leading the SDET team in Chennai, including recruitment and mentoring, are core responsibilities. This position drives the creation of robust test automation frameworks and ensures continuous improvement of testing processes. Collaboration with product and development teams to integrate quality engineering throughout the software development lifecycle is essential. We will rely on this role to establish and track key performance indicators for test automation and quality, with regular reports provided to senior management. This role also includes leading and mentoring SDET managers and engineers, empowering them to reach their full potential. Oversight of test environments and ensuring compliance with testing standards will be required, along with providing on-site support to the Chennai operations center. We expect this role to foster a culture of excellence in quality.
