Job Description

What we’re looking for:

The Registration Director is an integral part of the registration team as they supervise and support the Registration team members as well as being a liaison to the Commercial Brands. We are looking for an individual with strong managerial, people skills and project management experience. Strong organization, prioritization and time management skills are preferred. This position will also have specific leadership responsibilities across the portfolios to help streamline processes, provide strategic insights, and enhance communication between all stakeholders.


Role Accountability and Duties:

  • Serve as the strategic lead within the Registration department with a clear understanding of the registration process and using data to help drive decisions throughout the event cycle.
  • Serves as the portfolio lead directing the successful implementation of all phases of event registration management, as defined by the department leadership. This includes understanding the history and trends of the event.
  • Collaborates with registration leadership team to influence improvements and change through technology, platform, business operations, and partners.
  • Maintains strong relationship with portfolio and event leadership helping to carry out their strategic and event specific vision and satisfaction of registration, as well as collaborate in all of registration.
  • Works alongside operations leadership to help foster a cohesive working relationship to ensure a successful registration implementation.
  • Manages the team in the daily execution of activities and is responsible for supervision of event registration configuration, time management, documentation/standards & procedures, travel, employee development and discipline, and other related duties. Ensures the team adheres to all established deadlines/deliverables on a consistent basis.
  • Helps guide managers in technical documentation, requirements definition, customer experience mapping, data collection & alignment, conditional logic, purchase/package configuration, access management, and platform integration to central marketing, finance, and third-party solutions.
  • Develop budgets, manage monthly forecasts and accruals, and finalize event expenses.
  • Create clear SOWs and manage vendor deliverables within the scope of existing contracts.
  • Helps implement, support, and provide continuous improvement to streamline operations.
  • Acts as point of escalation onsite to our Commercial Brands at some of our larger or more complex events.

The pay range for this position is $95,000 - $100,000, depending on experience.

Qualifications

What you bring to the team:

  • Four-year degree or related work experience.
  • 6 - 10 years of experience in trade show, conference and/or event experience required.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of fostering strong relationships, effectively communicating across teams, and driving collaborative success.
  • Skilled in facilitating communication across all organizational levels.
  • Ability to directly manage and develop a team.
  • Able to utilize independent judgment to assess situations and make clear decisions in a timely manner in the best interest of the organization.
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and time management skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Prior experience managing multiple budgets.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, interpersonal skills and ability to manage stress well.
  • Knowledge of Registration and Exhibitor Management Platforms.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to travel at least 25% of the time.
