The EQA Practice Leader will represent the Enterprise Quality Assurance (EQA) organization in the Americas region, reporting directly to the EQA Leader. The EQA Practice Leader is a technical hands-on leader responsible for overseeing the implementation and execution of quality engineering practices across agile product teams for multiple domains under an SVP. This leader will be an expert in implementing standard test strategies, managing QA professionals embedded in each domain product team, and providing mentorship and coaching to ensure consistent, high-quality delivery.  Creates "big picture" QA architectural roadmap for automation design and implementation to guide development and test teams. As a key bridge between the EQA and delivery organization leadership and Technical Product owners, this role ensures alignment of testing efforts with enterprise quality objectives and product goals.  Will require effective leadership, influencing, negotiation, collaboration, coaching and conflict management skills

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Quality Planning: Contribute and execute on the long-term quality vision, aligning with company goals, and establishing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure quality performance

  • Team Leadership: Leading and managing a team of quality engineers, assigning tasks, providing mentorship, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement

  • Process Improvement: Identifying opportunities for process optimization, analyzing data to identify root causes of quality issues, and implementing corrective actions to mitigate risks, improve product quality and QA productivity via automation and AI

  • Quality Engineering: Writing, reviewing and approving quality plans, inspection procedures, test automation, data management testing and testing protocols to ensure products consistently meet specifications

  • Compliance Management: Ensuring adherence to all relevant organization regulations, standards, and policies with the team

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Development, Information Management, Enterprise Architecture, Engineering Enablement and Operations, to ensure quality is embedded in all phases of software development

  • Define and enforce standardized test strategies tailored to Agile delivery models and product roadmaps.

  • Ensure that QA metrics are defined, tracked, and reported to measure the effectiveness of the QA processes

  • Spreadhead reduction of automation debt across teams and promoting in-sprint automation mindset

  • Ensure defect management and triaging practices are consistent across teams under the delivery center.

  • Ensure that all software products meet or exceed customer expectations in terms of quality and reliability.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) or Technology or equivalent experience required

  • 10+ years Leading Quality Assurance functions including experience with the software development lifecycle, client consulting, software implementation with at least 7 years in a leadership role required

  • Demonstrated experience attracting, leading, and developing staff in a geographically dispersed environment. - Behavioral Skills - Proficiency required

  • Proven track record of managing and leading large, distributed QA teams. - Proficiency required

  • Extensive experience with QA methodologies, tools, and processes. - Technical Skills - Proficiency required

  • Experience with ETL and Data Management testing and automation

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycles and agile methodologies. - - Proficiency required

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-centric mindset. - Proficiency required

  • Expert in Quality Engineering, test automation frameworks, and CI/CD integration using Jenkins, GitHub Actions etc..
