POSITION SUMMARY:

The Director of Training, Development, and DEIB drives strategic initiatives for employee’s career growth and development.  Duties and responsibilities include formulating processes and policies related to training programs and implementation, talent and performance management with a Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) lens.  The Director is responsible for evaluating staff’s skills and gaps through performance management process and analysis to develop strategies, career plans, and programs to grow the skills of the agency utilizing innovative practices in order to meet the agency’s mission, values and retention goals.

Duties will also include but are not limited to:

• Manage a performance review process to assess employee skills and skills-gaps to improve quality of agency strength, employee growth and retention.
• Implement DEIB strategic plan and training, and ensure DEIB-lens components are infused into all training, daily practices and policies.
• Oversee training and learning activities, curriculum and resources, to ascertain needs, and then conduct after training analysis to determine efficacy of program.
• Supervise People Services Training Specialist who administers mandated and requested training through Cornerstone LMS and Goodwill Academy platforms.
• Support People Services leadership to develop an active plan throughout all levels of the agency that ensures a strong emphasis on personal job development, increasing competencies, and building skills; supporting mission integration goals.
• Develop and utilize surveys that address methodologies for learning needs, employee engagement pulse, and then recommend programs to address opportunities.
• Keep staff informed of all Goodwill initiatives, policy changes and updates and other general company information.
• Utilize transparent and ethical communication skills and techniques to advance the agency culture of learning, fostering trust and confidentiality with employees and between employees and their managers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's Degree and 8 years experience with the ability to develop innovate training concepts that aim to develop all employees’ potential, and to oversee talent and performance management process.  
• Master's Degree and 5 years experience with ability to develop innovate training concepts that aim to develop all employees’ potential, and to oversee talent and performance management process.  

Required Experience: Proficiency with Microsoft office applications, HCM/HRIS and LMS systems, training and learning methodology, change management, and DEIB exposure.

Preferred Experience: At least one year of supervisory experience is highly desirable. Holder of or interest in PHR/SPHR certification is desirable.

Hiring Range: $88,000-$92,000/ year

Travel:  travel will be required.
