Job Description
Director of Software Development Lifecycle Process Owner (Risk and Compliance)As the Director of Software Development Lifecycle Process Owner focused on Risk and Compliance, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing our software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes. You will lead a team dedicated to ensuring that our development methodologies, systems, and practices align with regulatory requirements, mitigating potential risks, and enhancing compliance standards across all software-related initiatives.
Leadership and Strategy:
- Develop and execute strategies for optimizing the software development lifecycle in alignment with risk management and compliance objectives.
- Provide guidance and leadership to cross-functional teams to integrate risk mitigation and compliance measures seamlessly within the SDLC.
Risk Management and Compliance Oversight:
- Evaluate existing SDLC processes and implement measures to proactively identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with software development.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and internal policies throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Collaborate with legal, compliance, and security teams to establish and enforce best practices for risk management and compliance.
Process Enhancement and Standardization:
- Continuously improve and standardize SDLC processes, methodologies, and tools to streamline operations while meeting compliance and risk mitigation goals.
- Implement robust metrics and reporting mechanisms to track compliance-related performance and identify areas for improvement.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Foster collaboration and communication across departments, including development, quality assurance, legal, compliance, and operations, to embed risk and compliance considerations throughout the SDLC.
Training and Education:
- Develop training programs and materials to educate teams on compliance requirements, risk identification, and mitigation strategies within the SDLC.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
- Proven experience 10+ years in software development lifecycle management, risk management, and compliance within a regulated industry (if applicable).
- Strong knowledge of regulatory standards and experience implementing compliance measures within software development processes.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills with the ability to drive change and foster a culture of compliance and risk awareness.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
