About the role

Description

The Director of Project Management will solidify their high value to the company by an initial 100% engagement in leading the end-to-end implementation of ERP across our organization. The project is in its nascent stages so this role will be exclusively devoted to this endeavor for the duration of its likely multi-year implementation. This role requires a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in ERP implementations, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage complex, cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders. The Director will be responsible for ensuring that the project is delivered on time, within budget, and meets the strategic objectives of La Terra Fina.

Role Metrics:

  • Successful completion of the ERP implementation within the agreed timeline and budget.
  • Achievement of project objectives, including improved operational efficiency, data.
  • Accuracy, and user satisfaction. High level of user adoption and satisfaction with the new ERP system.
  • Effective risk management and minimal project disruptions.
  • Positive feedback from stakeholders and executive leadership on project execution and outcomes

Key Responsibilities:

 

Project Leadership and Management:

  • Lead the planning, execution, and monitoring of the ERP implementation initiative as well as future strategic business and IT initiatives
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive project plan, including timelines, budgets, resources, and risk management strategies.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, supply chain, operations, and HR, to ensure alignment and integration of ERP solutions.
  • Ensure project deliverables meet current and future business requirements and comply with any regulatory requirements.


Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including executive leadership, department heads, and external vendors.
  • Facilitate regular project meetings, updates, and communication to ensure transparency and alignment with stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors, consultants, and representatives to ensure successful delivery of project components. 


Change Management and Training:

  • Work with HR and change management resource to implement a change management strategy to support the transition to the new ERP system. 
  • Oversee the design and delivery of training programs to ensure end-users are proficient in using the new system.
  • Monitor user adoption and address any issues or resistance to change.


 Risk Management and Problem Solving: 

  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks to minimize impact on project success.
  • Proactively address and resolve project issues and conflicts, ensuring timely decision-making and problem resolution.
  • Implement best practices in project management and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive accountability in the organization and with external partners

Performance Measurement and Reporting:

  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure project success and progress.
  • Prepare and present regular status reports to executive leadership and project stakeholders.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to assess project outcomes and identify areas for improvement.

Background Requirements 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred. 
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in ERP implementation, preferably Oracle Cloud ERP or Microsoft ERP.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale, complex projects in a manufacturing environment. 
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams. 
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and internal and external stakeholder management skills.
