The Role
Donorbox is a customer and product-driven company built on high velocity, exceptional engineering, and a strong culture of ownership. We are seeking a highly pragmatic, business-first Human Resources Leader to oversee our core People operations. This role will serve as the senior leader of the People team, overseeing HR operations, employee relations, performance management, and Talent Acquisition across the organization. We do not view HR as just an administrative function; we view it as a critical operational partner that helps us drive high performance and assemble elite teams.
We are looking for a highly skilled HR professional who also thinks like a business operator. While you must be a seasoned expert in HR fundamentals, we would like experience managing teams outside of the HR function—you need to know what it feels like to deliver on business goals, ship a product, or run a P&L. We want someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, values first-principles thinking, and who brings a steady, professional approach to building high-trust, low-friction teams.

Responsibilities
- Drive a Culture of Excellence: Set and reinforce clear, consistent expectations for excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement company-wide.
- Act as a Business Partner: Understand our product, our customers, and our bottom line. Provide clear, practical, and objective guidance to managers on complex organizational and people challenges.
- Performance Density: Lead our performance management processes, including goal setting and calibration. Equip managers to address underperformance promptly and constructively, ensuring fair, transparent, and consistent outcomes.
- Talent Acquisition Leadership: Partner with Talent Acquisition and hiring managers to develop scalable recruiting strategies, improve hiring processes, and attract high-performing talent aligned with Donorbox’s standards and culture. Provide leadership and strategic oversight for Talent Acquisition operations across the organization.
- Employee Relations & Conflict Resolution: Own employee relations matters end-to-end with a calm, objective, and highly professional approach. Partner with Legal to conduct investigations and resolve issues fairly and efficiently.
- Streamline Operations: Oversee and continuously improve HR systems, policies, and the employee handbook. Proactively identify and eliminate unnecessary bureaucracy to keep the company moving fast.
- Compliance & Fairness: Develop and enforce HR policies that align with our core values and comply strictly with U.S. labor and employment laws, ensuring a welcoming environment of equal opportunity.
- Organizational Effectiveness: Lead initiatives that directly impact business output, including practical job architecture, career pathing, organizational planning, headcount strategy, hiring prioritization, and competitive salary benchmarking.
- Model the Standard: Demonstrate strong discipline, reliability, and excellent follow-through in all aspects of your work.
Qualifications & Experience
- Education: Bachelor or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related operational field
