Position Summary
The Human Resources Director is the senior leader responsible for all HR operations, strategy, and compliance at AHS. This role oversees recruitment and retention, total rewards and benefits, employee relations and engagement, and performance management and development. The Director leads a team of 6 HR professionals, ensuring effective workforce planning, strong employee engagement, and full compliance with applicable laws and regulations.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (master’s preferred), along with at least seven years of progressive HR leadership experience, ideally within the nonprofit, healthcare, or human services sectors. Strong knowledge of Pennsylvania DHS regulations and best practices in I/DD services is preferred. Candidates should have proven experience leading geographically dispersed teams, managing complex HR operations, and driving organizational change. Professional certification such as SHRM-CP/SCP or HRCI PHR/SPHR is preferred.
