Role Overview

 

The Director, Learning & Talent Development is a part of the dedicated Van Cleef and Arpels Human Resources team responsible for the design, development, and facilitation of a broad curriculum for employees of Van Cleef and Arpels Americas. This role will facilitate high-impact learning experiences to enable our people, teams, and business to grow. The focus of this role is crafting programs, tools and resources that are relevant and executable, with topics of interest to a luxury retail corporate and boutique audience. These topics may include, but are not limited to: management and leadership, storytelling, hospitality, the evolving luxury landscape, diversity and inclusion, executive presence, negotiations, onboarding, compliance, and skills-based training. In addition to program development. The Director, Learning and Development will drive HQ learning initiatives through digital tools and will oversee.the Learning Management System (LMS).

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Coordinate, organize and facilitate programs and trainings for Maison retail and corporate
  • audiences with confidence, poise, and presence for multiple audience levels, including senior.

  • Identify training needs, develop L&D plans, and execute learning program reviews with Maison HQ,
  • senior leadership, and department leadership to keep projects on time and within budget.
  • Research, recommend, and manage relationships with external vendor partners, including
  • Executive Coaches to supplement and enrich Maison-designed learning and development offerings.
  • Propose, manage, and maintain budgets, results, and KPI’s
  • Manage the regional deployment of e-learning courses and local functions related to the learning
  • management system (LMS) in conjunction with the Retail Training team.
  • Employ strong social skills to earn trust and build broad networks with department heads to
  • facilitate succession planning.
  • Coordinate and work in partnership with Retail Training department to build out yearly learning
  • calendar based on key priorities.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree required.
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in instructional design for adult learners required.
  • Significant experience in developing learning for the retail environment strongly preferred.
  • Experience administrating an LMS required.
  • Expert proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and webinar hosting services such as Teams, or Adobe
  • Captivate required.
  • Knowledge of compliance topics and administration of compliance training preferred but not.

  • Proficiency in one or more e-learning authoring tools preferred but not required
  • Certifications in Predictive Index, Hogan, DISC, StrengthsFinder or other assessment certifications

Salary Range: $150K-$180K/ Yearly

Salary will be negotiated based on skills and experience. This role is annual bonus
