Role: Director, Launch Excellence Management

Location: Princeton, New Jersey

Summary:
The Director, Launch Excellence Management, plays a key role in evolving a central standard Launch Excellence Capability while also ensuring the operationalization and adoption of this capability for stakeholders globally. This role is part of an enterprise strategic team leading and implementing this capability across the broader organization which will enable key efficiencies for launches at BMS. The Director is instrumental in continuing to shape this multifaceted-launch capability including a resource hub offering best practice guidance, a single dynamic playbook, and innovative tools and templates. The Director, Launch Excellence Management, also oversees a team of launch project management contractors delivering onboarding training, responsive mentorship, and direct PM support for launch teams. 

 Responsibilities:
•    As part of a core team, deliver the evolution and implementation of the companywide Launch Excellence capability reflecting the new and changing environment which ensures a companywide consistent approach
•    Accountable for the project management of the Launch Excellence capability project deliverables including core documentation, generating uptake and usage metrics, and working with key stakeholders to gather actionable insights
•    Oversee holistic project monitoring, controls, team integration, change integration, and corrective action as needed using the new centralized tool. Ensure the application of innovative, yet standardized (launch) project management best practices in managing the launch as appropriate
•    Manage contracted PMs, including onboarding and mentoring PMs to ensure a standard foundation of support for stakeholders 
•    Engage and incorporate key functional owners and workstreams to ensure continued alignment with corporate priorities and organizational changes. Functions include but are not limited to Medical, Marketing, and Market Access.
•    Partner with launch team stakeholders to ensure lessons learned, best practices, and key performance indicators are captured and regularly incorporated into central launch excellence repository for continuous improvement
•    Engage and energize launch teams to ensure optimal performance, while proactively removing obstacles to drive launch project team momentum and progress. Act as a point of escalation for launch team members and key stakeholders.
•    Lead launch kickoff, launch readiness, strategic planning sessions, act as thought partner with brand lead and Strategy & Operations partner
•    Co-lead the development and delivery of a communication plan to ensure effective change management and socialization of the capability and its evolution
•    Manage the functional and technical documentation for the launch management tool and integral processes
•    Manage and provides guidance for 3rd-party partners and agencies to ensure initiatives are delivered on time, on budget, and in scope
•    Track demand and forecasting to inform proactive resource allocation and identify opportunities to flex resources
•    May lead large complex initiatives, collaborating with business leadership and managing launch delivery across therapeutic teams and branching globally
•    Provide technical support, training, guidance and facilitation on the dynamic brand playbook tools, working with key stakeholders and end users


Qualifications:
•    Minimum of 7 years of healthcare or pharmaceutical commercial project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years of commercial launch experience. Global experience preferred.
