About the Role

Workday is looking for a versatile and experienced finance leader to join the Business Finance team as Director, Finance Enablement. You will partner across the team to enable scale & agility through improved financial & operational processes and increased levels of automation. You will lead a growing team as we continue to build our capabilities and infrastructure, and develop processes and automation to support rapid business growth. We’re looking for someone with a curiosity to learn, passion for problem solving, experienced in owning and driving finance systems and process transformation, who is a self-starter and go-getter, an exceptional communicator, a team-oriented leader, and someone who can roll up their sleeves in a dynamic fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

Develop, Own and Drive implementation of Systems/Process Roadmaps & Strategy

  • Drive the Business Intelligence, Infrastructure and Systems roadmap across Finance that optimizes use of Workday tools in alignment with Workday’s reporting & analytics strategy (e.g. Workday, Adaptive, Prism) and ancillary third-party applications (including Tableau), as well as leverages AI/ML solutions to further our automation and efficiency outcomes.

  • Analyze our current finance systems and process footprint, and recommend solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders.

  • Liaise with multiple groups across finance and IT.

  • Integrate/facilitate integration of acquired systems/processes (via M&A) into Finance infrastructure & roadmap.

Drive implementation of projects to turn vision into reality

  • Support the team in driving Adaptive Planning roadmap in partnership with finance, product management and IT.

  • Proactively identify process improvements and work on implementing solutions with the help of a cross functional team.

  • Maintain Finance Systems data integrity and proper communication between systems.

Manage stakeholder engagements

  • Serve as the primary partner with IT representing Finance.

  • Facilitate governance and integrity of the Adaptive Financial Planning instance as it interacts with Sales Planning/Workforce Planning/Operational Planning instances.

Lead and coach a high performing Finance Enablement team

About You

Required Qualifications:

  • BS in Finance, Accounting, MIS or a related field, MBA preferred.

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in finance, business analytics and/or financial systems, preferably 3-4 years in a people leadership capacity.

​Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong understanding of the software industry and its success metrics/drivers/processes, Software and/or internet industry experience a plus.

  • Strong communication and influencing skills.

  • Keen eye and focus on execution and delivery.

  • Excellent critical thinking and presentation skills; proven ability to dissect problems, recommend process/systems solutions, and develop/ communicate solutions clearly, concisely and completely.

  • Solid work ethic and team player; ability to work well independently but also collaborate with and influence a cross section of peers and senior management.

  • Intellectual curiosity; keen interest in escalating the role of finance via systems and proce
