Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire an experienced Director for our Internal Audit & Advisory Services team who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Director of Internal Audit & Advisory Services, you will:
• Developing and implementing the Internal Audit departmental strategic plan,
• Leading annual Enterprise Risk Assessments,
• Developing and implementing risk-based annual IA Work Plans,
• Reporting audit findings and recommendations to leaders,
• Communicating the Plan, engagement results, risk trends and proposed changes to the Plan to the Committee,
Developing and leading the IA quality assurance program,
• Monitoring implementation of corrective action plans and confirming that the action plans are working as management intended and mitigate associated risks,
• Coordinating consulting engagements and audits conducted by outsourced third-party contractors to ensure that all work performed aligns with AHC’s standards, and that corrective actions or process improvements are implemented as appropriate,
• Developing and implementing IA related charters, policies, and procedures that align with the Global Standards as promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors,
• Providing oversight for departmental DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) / Six Sigma process improvement initiatives following the AHC Baldridge Journey of Excellence,
• Providing advice to leadership on policies, procedures, and internal controls,
• Leading or assisting the Office of General Counsel and Compliance with investigations of suspected irregular financial operational or regulatory activities and provide findings to Senior Management and the Committee as appropriate,
• Collaborating with the Organizational Integrity/Compliance teams to assist as needed and prevent duplication of effort between the Compliance auditing/monitoring program and the Internal Audit Annual Work Plan,
• Representing the Internal Audit team at various committees and counsels throughout Adventist HealthCare, and
• Representing the Internal Audit team at various industry workgroups and committees.

Qualifications include:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business or an allied health field
• MBA, MHA, master’s in finance or another business-related field
• 10 years of progressive Internal Audit or comparable experience
• Healthcare audit experience strongly preferred
• Non-profit audit experience strongly preferred
• 10 years of combined Internal Audit Management/supervisory experience
• CIA preferred
• CHIAP, CISA, CPA and CFE strongly desired
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

Pay Range:

$116,227.90 - $174,341.85

If the salary range is listed as $0 or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Exempt)
