Job Description
About the Role
We are seeking a strategic and execution-oriented Director to lead our Enterprise Data Platform and Consumer Analytics Platform Teams. The candidate will demonstrate leadership across multiple domains, drive architectural scale, and deliver measurable business impact through data platform capabilities.
This role is responsible for enabling domain-aligned data product development, modernizing legacy analytics pipelines, and delivering scalable, trusted data infrastructure across the organization. Initially the candidate will execute these responsibilities through an effort focused on the modernization of legacy analytics pipelines and oversee two customer-facing analytics applications (Helo and EXP.O NOW Analytics), which are converging into a unified, premium analytics experience for our customers. The candidate will lead a high-performing team of data engineers, architects, and platform specialists, and collaborate closely with business-aligned domain teams, analytics leaders, and regional technology groups.
About Our Data Strategy & Organization
We are evolving our global data organization to align data domain ownership, modeling, and product development with the business and application teams closest to the work. This means our Transportation, Customs, and other domain-aligned teams are empowered to own and deliver high-quality, trusted data products. Our analytics and regional technology teams steward “gold-level” data models and reporting assets, ensuring consistency and business value across geographies.
The Enterprise Data Platform team plays a pivotal role in enabling this federated model. We provide the blueprint patterns, frameworks, and governance for data ingestion, transformation, and quality. We manage the catalog systems that support our bronze, silver, and gold data layers.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the strategy, design, and delivery of our enterprise data platform, ensuring it meets the needs of domain teams, analytics users, and customer-facing applications.
Define and evolve blueprint patterns for data ingestion, transformation, quality monitoring, and metadata management across bronze, silver, and gold data layers.
Own and operate our data catalog and metadata systems, enabling discoverability, governance, and trust in our data products.
Partner with domain and analytics teams to support their delivery of high-quality, validated data products and reporting assets.
Lead the modernization of legacy analytics pipelines, transitioning to scalable, cloud-native, real-time data frameworks.
Oversee the evolution of two customer-facing analytics applications (Helo and EXP.O NOW Analytics), ensuring alignment with enterprise data strategy and platform capabilities.
Build and lead a high-performing team of data engineers, architects, and platform specialists; foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Collaborate with executive stakeholders to align data platform investments with business priorities and measurable outcomes.
Expectations
Some high-level expectations of the role include:
Driving architectural scale and platform strategy across multiple domains and geographies.
Delivering measurable business impact through platform capabilities and data product enablement.
Leading and mentoring senior managers and technical leaders; building a strong succession pipeline.
Managing multi-departmental budgets and aligning resource allocation with strategic priorities.
Championing a culture of accountability, innovation, and sustainable delivery across the data platform organization.
Representing the data platform function in cross-functional forums and executive-level planning.
