SALARY: $160 000 - $200 000

 

ROLE OVERVIEW 

As a Director of Data Analytics, you will be responsible for the strategy and development of central reporting for company and departmental KPIs. You will be a partner to the C-suite & VP corps to lead the gathering of requirements, creation of product measurement frameworks, and delivery of product experimentation. You will serve as an internal consultant working closely with the CEO, CPO, and Finance team to guide strategic decision-making across the organization. You will also manage a team of Data Analysts focused on Business and Product Analytics.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Strategic decision-making: 

  • Participate in strategic decision-making alongside C-suite with data-driven insights, analysis, and weekly forecasts. 

  • Track, benchmark, analyze, and develop strategic solutions to improve key business and financial metrics.

  • Partner with the executive & finance teams to lead the development of complex metrics-driven business models that incorporate product cause and effect to deliver a clear picture of feature change impact on the bottom line.

  • Support executive management in board and investor presentations, including support in M&A activities.

Data Team leadership and management: 

  • Lead a team of Data Analysts to prioritize and manage the analytics deliverables to support the following areas: monitor product metrics, discover user needs, run diagnostics on metrics performance,  A/B testing and delivery, GTM maintenance, data governance, and ad-hoc queries. 

  • Supervise data teams in analyzing and segmenting historical data to provide management with actionable insights.

  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development of analysts. 

  • Create systems and standards to ensure the quality of the team's deliverables regarding platform and data effectiveness, trustworthiness, reliability, etc.

Analysis and reporting:

  • Lead deep analysis of user behavior in each product feature to draw insights that drive critical decision-making. 

  • Manage the creation of executive dashboards for C-suite, VPs, and external partners.

  • Direct simulations for product-driven scenario planning. 

Collaboration, coordination and tool management:

  • Collaborate with data engineering and infrastructure teams to support the migration of data to Snowflake. 

  • Own an experimentation platform that includes managing vendor relationships, maintenance, reporting bugs, and researching and recommending different tools for experimentation. 

 

WHAT MAKES YOU THE PERFECT CANDIDATE

  • 7+ years of experience in BI / Data Analysis covering both business and product analytics

  • 2+ years of experience managing a team

  • Proven experience in effective team leadership

  • Strong analytical foundation as an individual contributor and manager – expert command of data analytical tools

  • Understanding and adherence to the principles of data quality management, including metadata, lineage, and business definitions

  • Highly Experienced in SQL and Python

  • Proficient in product analytics platforms and self-service analytics tools

  • Highly experienced in data warehouses such as Redshift, Snowflake, Big Query, and data visualization tools such as Tableau

  • A/B testing/Experimentation design and execution
