Director, Corporate Counsel, Healthcare Transactions

The Director, Corporate Counsel will be a member of the regulatory team within the Justice League (JLD). The individual will provide legal guidance to the Company on regulatory and compliance, related matters as they arise with respect to healthcare transactions. 

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Provide legal counsel to the business on potential joint ventures, acquisitions, or divestitures with a focus on the Anti-Kickback Statute, Anti-trust laws, and the Company’s internal compliance requirements.
  • Review and analyze contracts, agreements, and other legal documents to which the company intends to become a party.
  • Provide legal counsel on a variety of healthcare business, corporate, and commercial matters arising in day-to-day operations of a complex organization in a heavily regulated environment.
  • Perform special assignments as needed.
  • Support and collaborate with other areas of the JLD and Compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctorate degree with approximately 4+ years’ experience in legal practice representing businesses and/or organizations in the health care industry.
  • Possess experience in healthcare transactions, including joint ventures, acquisitions, and divestitures required.
  • Expertise in the Federal healthcare regulatory laws, including the False Claims Act, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and their implementing regulations.
  • At least one state bar admission and in good standing, with the ability to waive into Colorado, if needed.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple matters and priorities at one time in a fast-paced environment.
  • High degree of maturity and professionalism and the ability to work in a collaborative, team environment.
