Your New Role

As the Director of Compensation Programs, you will lead strategic projects within the Compensation Program Design and Operations team, within Total Rewards. Your role focuses on developing, standardizing, and administering compensation plans, tools, processes, and/or programs across the enterprise that align with the company’s compensation philosophy and priorities. This role fosters relationships with internal stakeholders and demands close collaboration with team members across the Compensation Consulting teams, P&C, Legal, and Technology to ensure effective design and execution of compensation strategies. This role is expected to support projects in leading and facilitating discussions needed for project decision analysis including development and assessment of outcome scenarios and alternative options, cost analysis, and implications. The Director of Compensation Programs reports into the GVP, Compensation Program Design and Operations.

Your Role Accountabilities

  • Conduct cost-benefit, impact and market research analyses to assess project feasibility, alternative options, and identify potential scopes that align with strategic objectives

  • Identify and build out project plans, processes, tools, and resources to facilitate execution of projects

  • Organize and lead planning and decision-making sessions, and/or share project progress with various to support successful project outcomes

  • Collaborate with team members from Compensation Consulting, Legal, P&C, and Communications, and Technology to discuss potential risks, issues, and optimization opportunities support project alignment and seamless implementation

  • Lead a small team and manage on-going compensation programs and activities supported by the Compensation Programs team

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5-7 years of progressive experience in project management or strategic compensation consulting roles

  • Strong foundation in Compensation principles, programs, and processes through 10+ years of experience

  • Workday experience a plus

  • Bachelor degree in Business, Finance/Accounting, or equivalent discipline

  • Ability to understand and relate to multiple stakeholders from various disciplines within the business (Operations, Finance etc.)

  • Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with other MS Office programs

  • Strong quantitative skills and ability to think critically, with ability to research and analyze various types of data.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments to prioritize tasks in order to meet deadlines.

  • Good experience with continuous improvement (e.g., return on investment, optimization opportunities)

  • Strong problem solving skills, including the ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively anticipate problems and opportunities and confidence to use initiative to pursue solutions

  • Strong analytical skills with a strong attention to detail

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Good team player, flexible, and able to resolve conflicts

  • Ability to manage complex work within tight deadlines
