Who are we hiring?
The Director Capital Projects and Infrastructure will analyze and manage Theatre projects inclusive of compliance across our Theatres -Radio City Music Hall, Beacon, and Chicago Theatre. Essential responsibilities include leading construction and integration projects, the ability to partner with general contractors, vendors, utilize internal resources and overall accountability for developing procurement strategies.
What will you do?
- Meet all appropriate stakeholders to support the development of capital and construction projects.
- Lead project sponsor for new and existing build-outs within Theatres
- Perform due diligence and feasibility studies for properties and proposed projects.
- Generate project capital budgets
- Responsible for project scope, cost, schedule, and quality controls for assigned projects.
- Review and preset capital budget estimates and recommendations with stakeholders.
- Manage project team which may be inclusive of third-party consultants, project managers, general contractors, and internal trades.
- Demonstrate basic knowledge in the areas of mechanical, plumbing & electrical systems, low voltage systems, IT infrastructure, DAS systems, and AV systems.
- Supervisory of in-house union trades being utilized for construction and capital projects. Supervision and coordination between outside contractors and in-house trades tasks on projects.
- Foster and enhance owner, architect, subcontractor, and vendor relations.
- Demonstrated ability to cost out construction project from inception to completion of work scope.
- Oversee bid solicitation process for all contractors, vendors, and suppliers
- Overall accountability for project budgets and timelines.
- Demonstrated working knowledge of design solutions, product procurement and delivery logistics.
- Ability to create a bid package, propose deliverables and facilitate client presentations.
- Responsible for the planning stages, project safety aspects (OSHA) and equipment operational challenges.
- Achieve company objectives in areas of cost, scheduling, and quality
- Provide direction, supervision, motivation and coaching to all construction project employees
- Conduct periodic site visits to evaluate contractor performance and quality
- Manage compliance with legal, regulatory and environmental requirements
- Perform in-event management oversight of NYC venue(s) and its operations as MOD/EOD
- Supervision of various vetted design & construction firms. Oversee various union trades for construction and overall projects.
What do you need to succeed?
- Minimum of 7-10 years’ experience in construction management with a proven track record of managing construction projects
- Demonstrated knowledge in the area of Architecture or Engineering is strongly preferred.
- Four-year degree in Engineering, Construction Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
- Working knowledge of union Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBA)
- Ability to lead cross functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- Extensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices relating to construction projects
- Experience in retaining third party consultants for environmental, building systems, structural inspections and surveys.
- Familiar with state and city building codes
- Strong working knowledge of contracts, contract negotiations, scheduling, receivables and general overhead account
