Job Details

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a dynamic, experienced and confident leader to serve as Director Ambulatory Operations for Union Hospital. Located in Dover, Ohio, Union Hospital is an award-winning not-for-profit community hospital serving the communities of eastern Ohio. Community and personalized care are at the forefront of Union Hospital’s values. 

 

The Director Ambulatory Operation establishes and implements short- and long-term departmental goals and objectives and provides strategic leadership. This leader guides and directs the activities of physicians and the running of physician practice. 

 

This is a highly visible role, requiring collaboration across the hospital and mentor team, along with community involvement and networking. 

 

A caregiver in this position works Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. -- 5 p.m., with occasional travel required. 

 

A caregiver who excels in this role will: 

  • Direct and lead the department in its strategic plan, monitor and evaluate programmatic and operational effectiveness. 

  • Define and implement programs for the department. 

  • Ensure quality and effectiveness of the programs through statistical research reporting. 

  • Work collaboratively with organizational leaders throughout the enterprise. 

  • Manage and supervise designated staff. 

  • Create an environment for growth and development of each staff member. 

  • Provide strategic leadership to mid-level managers through delegation and coaching. 

 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Bachelor’s degree 

  • 10 years of directly relevant experience, including three years of demonstrated management or project management experience in a community outreach environment 

 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

  • Healthcare experience
