The Director, Strategic Planning is a leadership role, responsible for providing data-based strategic direction to business leaders, as well as shaping and driving the development, communication, and implementation of high-impact initiatives to drive business growth and profitability. This individual will work closely with senior leadership within Technology Solutions and Strategic Alliances to translate long-term business objectives into actionable strategies.This role is critical in bridging strategy with execution, and to translate objectives into actionable, data-driven plans that generate sustainable growth. Working closely with senior executives, department heads and our strategic partners, the Director will drive cross-functional alignment, spearhead complex transformation programs, and ensure that strategic decisions are implemented with rigour and agility.
In particular, the candidate will drive data-driven analysis, create compelling and concise narratives for presentation to senior executives, and work with stakeholders across the organization to ensure execution excellence.
The ideal candidate will have a strong consulting background, with a proven ability to manage large-scale strategic initiatives, deliver results under tight deadlines, and influence stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
What you'll be doing
In this role, you will:
- Strategy Development: Partners with executive leadership to co-create the organization and partnership growth strategy, utilizing data-driven analysis to identify opportunities for market expansion, competitive positioning, and profitability. Advises business leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities.
- Execution Excellence: Translates strategic objectives into clear execution roadmaps, ensuring initiatives are implemented effectively across the organization, with a focus on delivering measurable impact. Manages and oversees the implementation of strategy, working with internal stakeholders to maximize achievement of overall strategic objectives.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Fosters collaboration between key business functions, regions and countries, as well as partner stakeholders ensuring alignment on strategic priorities and successful delivery of initiatives.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Implements robust performance tracking mechanisms, leveraging analytics and KPIs to provide real-time insights, course-correct as needed, and ensure successful execution of key initiatives.
- Presentation and Communication: Delivers compelling presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders, synthesizing complex information into clear, concise narratives that drive decision-making. Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization, ensuring alignment and buy-in for strategic priorities.
- Change Management: Leads large-scale change management initiatives, ensuring organization-wide buy-in and smooth adoption of new processes, structures, and strategies.
- Makes recommendations on the development of a strategic dashboard which indicates the key success measures that will be used to determine the achievement of strategic objectives
- Develops and maintains influential relationships in order to ensure the successful delivery and achievement of strategic objectives against the plan and critical success measures.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in strategy consulting (preferably from McKinsey, BCG, Bain, or equivalent), with a strong track record of leading high-impact projects and delivering strategic business transformations.
- Demonstrated experience or substantial exposure to the technology and IT services industry, with a solid understanding of industry trends and innovations
- Significant experience in strategic planning and analysis, marketing/market research, competitive intelligence, and corporate business development.
- Significant experience gained within a similar leadership capacity preferably within a similar global organization.
