In this role, you lead a large, multidisciplinary analytics organization responsible for transforming diverse data sources into actionable insights. You’ll partner closely with business leaders to influence strategy, improve performance, and solve complex problems using advanced statistical and predictive modeling techniques. Your leadership will directly shape how data informs decision-making across the organization.
What you’ll do
Lead and direct large analytics teams responsible for strategic data analysis, predictive modeling, and trend analysis across multiple business domains.
Translate complex datasets from internal and external sources into insights that drive business decisions, performance optimization, and strategic outcomes.
Design and oversee advanced statistical modeling approaches to quantify variance, predict behaviors, identify causal relationships, and support enterprise decision-making.
Develop and validate predictive models using large-scale datasets, ensuring accuracy and applicability in real-world business scenarios.
Create executive-level reporting, dashboards, and visualizations that communicate data patterns, trends, and insights to senior stakeholders.
Influence organizational strategy by partnering with business leaders to shape analytics-driven recommendations, process improvements, and business cases.
What you’ll need
Advanced expertise in predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and trend analysis techniques.
Strong proficiency with relational databases and data warehouse platforms (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, Snowflake, Databricks Delta Lake).
Hands-on experience with modern analytics and visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI (AI Insights), Palantir, Databricks, AWS, Azure, Synapse, or H2O Driverless AI.
Experience working with enterprise-scale data lakes, data warehouses, and diverse internal and external data sources.
What you’ll bring
Master’s degree (MS/MA) from an accredited university in a quantitative field such as Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or Physics (preferred).
10+ years of related professional experience in advanced analytics, data science, or predictive modeling roles.
Proven experience leading large teams, including managers and career-level professionals.
Demonstrated ability to influence hiring, performance management, compensation, and talent development decisions.
A strategic mindset with the ability to balance hands-on analytics leadership with enterprise-level planning and execution.

Environmental Requirements: This position may be responsible for contributing to compliance by AT&T with environmental laws and regulations as applicable to its job function. This may include, but is not limited to, work related to hazardous waste, hazardous materials, batteries, manholes and vaults, linear and other construction projects.
Our Director-Advanced Analytics earns between $210,600 - $316,000 annually. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
