We’re looking for proven Digital Thread Solution Engineers who have deep Technical Knowledge and can develop Solution Architectures, Solution Integrations, and Develop Applications that integrate Rockwell's Core products, partner products (PTC suite for example), and newly acquired products (Edge to IoT to User Consumption). The Digital Thread Solution Engineer is one of the concentrations in this pool of expert engineers.
All of the Digital Transformation Solution Engineers are key contributors to the Americas Global Sales & Marketing (GSM). This role reports to one of the Smart Manufacturing Technical Managers (dependent upon related concentration) within North America and may work any place in the continental United States or Canada.
Day-to-Day:
We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative AR/VR/MR Developer with expertise in Omniverse, Unity, Unreal, and Vuforia Studio to join our dynamic team. As an AR/VR/MR Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing cutting-edge augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and mixed reality (MR) applications and experiences.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop immersive AR/VR/MR applications and experiences.
- Design and implement interactive user interfaces and user experiences in Unity, Unreal Engine, and Vuforia Studio.
- Develop and integrate 3D assets, animations, and visual effects to create realistic and engaging virtual environments.
- Implement real-time tracking and sensor integration to enable accurate user interaction and navigation within AR/VR/MR applications.
- Optimize performance and ensure compatibility across various platforms and devices, including mobile, desktop, and virtual reality headsets.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of AR/VR/MR applications to ensure high quality and a seamless user experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in AR/VR/MR technologies, tools, and platforms.
- Collaborate with artists, designers, and developers to create compelling and immersive experiences.
- Document and maintain technical specifications, guidelines, and best practices for AR/VR/MR development.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor’s degree with additional business-related degree and/or experience preferred
- Ability to travel greater than 20% of time.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in developing interactive simulations or training applications.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Strong proficiency in developing AR/VR/MR applications using Omniverse, Unity, Unreal Engine, and Vuforia Studio.
- Solid understanding of 3D graphics, rendering, and animation principles.
- Proficient in C# and C++ programming languages.
- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with machine learning and AI technologies for AR/VR/MR.
- Experience with game development and physics simulations.
- Portfolio showcasing previous AR/VR/MR projects and applications.
