About the role

This position will require you to be in the Greater Cleveland, OH areaWe are presently in a hybrid schedule, 2 days on campus and 3 days WFH The Digital Content Librarian is responsible for growing and maintaining the TeachingBooks collection by selecting online resources and cataloging them along with their associated bibliographic metadata. Responsibilities:

Select and catalog resources about children’s and young adult literature and creators of such literature in accordance with the TeachingBooks Collection Development Policy and Classification Manual though assigned projects.
Catalog bibliographic metadata to comply with the TeachingBooks Classification Manual.
Special projects as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Master’s Degree in Library Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1-3 years of related experience in cataloging or collection development.
Experience selecting or using books for instruction in PK-12 settings (library, school, etc.)
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong knowledge of books, education, and/or the library industry.
Ability to consistently identify and correct subtle details in digital forms and text
Demonstrated ability to complete assigned tasks and objectives, meet timelines, and provide updates.
Ability to work in Microsoft Office.
Enough comfort with HTML to identify relevant code.
